Athirappilly Waterfalls

Athirappilly Waterfalls
On a cool rainy Sunday, Bobinson and Jogesh came to my place. Along with them I started towards Athirappilly. Its 30km drive from my home. The same route I used to take to school for 10 years. A nostalgic feeling when I passed through. Nothing much changed from that time. Those paddy fields, bridges, small streams. nothing changed..
We passed through the road with scenic landscapes on both sides. Such a greenery, can you find a similar place in Bangalore? I doubt.. .
raining
Rain was playing hide and seek. It give more nostalgic touch to our trip. I couldn't prevent me stopping in the midst of a small forest.
We spend some time shooting there.
Road to Athirappilly
An old lady with umbrella,
travellers
2 bike riders
a tracter, an autorickshaw with backside open, ....
Resumed the travel towards Athirappilly. Next we decided to stop at a newly built bridge. The road was too good. Seems like i was driving in some foreign country. Passed through some palm plantations, rubber trees plantations and all.
rubber plantation
Stopped in the midst of these plantations.. clicked some shots.
It was a breath taking view at the bridge.
newly built bridge on a rainy day
With big clouds and hills for supporting, it was a lovely view.
We tried to capture as much beauty as possible..

People with umbrellas
landscape and river
tinkling sound of water flow,

Everything was attractive. It was quite difficult to shoot in rain. But the beauty didn't prevent us taking photos even in that raining. Don't miss this particular bridge when you take a trip to Athirappilly. Its in front of one of the famous water theme park Silver storm.

we went through a couple of hairpin curves also. Reached Athirappilly at around 10AM. It was a kind of festive atmosphere with people selling toys, tender coconuts, caps and all, There were tea shops and other small shops.

Barricade and securities tent at Athirappilly
Lots of security guards were roaming around to keep the safety of visitors.  The place was so scenic. With horizons filled with small blue hills. cloudy atmosphere. Raining.
Another breathtaking view
waterfalls and the leaves

That enjoyment cant be expressed through words. You have to be there.

This time also i left Athirappilly without visiting Vazhachaal and Chaappa falls. Kept it for next time...
